A musicalization of the classic "Beowulf," Brother Wolf is a collaboration between the Human Race and Rhythm in Shoes, a Dayton-based song-and-dance troupe. The new musical has a book by Preston Lane with music and lyrics by Laurelyn Dossett.
The unique collaborative piece will feature direction by Human Race's Scott Stoney and Marsha Hanna, as well as Rick Good and Sharon Leahy of Rhythm in Shoes. Brother Wolf will run through Feb. 15 at Human Race's Loft Theatre.
Directors Stoney, Good and Leahy will be featured in a cast that also includes Joshua Fossitt (Brother Wolf), Bruce Cromer (Grin Dell), Morgan Grahame (Grin Dell's Maw), and ensemble members Aaron Vega, Kelly Mengelkoch, Kevin Anderson, Ben Cooper, Tina de Alderete, Jessica Jacobs, Carl Jones and Janet Schroeder.
Brother Wolf has set designs by Scott J. Kimmins and Tess Little, with lighting by John Rensel, costumes by Lowell Mathwich and mask designs by Tristan Cupp.
