The production, featuring a book by Doug DeVita and a score by Paul L. Johnson, will play Off-Broadway's McGinn Cazale Theatre. Jason Summers is director and choreographer of a cast that includes Jason Forbach as Orlando, Marija Reiff as Rosalind, Elise Marie as Celia, Chris Janssen as Oliver and Noah Longo as Touchstone.
As You Like It, according to press notes, "is an hour-long version that highlights the fun, gender-bending premise of the Shakespeare original (and is suggested by the charming prose adaptation for children written by Charles and Mary Lamb), and telescopes the action into a 55-minute playing that nevertheless manages to feature 14 songs that swing, jive and dance."
The creative team for As You Like It comprises Jenna Rossi-Camus (set and costume design) and Carrie Yacono (lighting design). The musical plays Saturdays at 1 PM and Sundays at 1 and 3 PM.
