Following a successful tour in spring 2017, the Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie will again tour the U.K. again, opening at the Richmond Theatre March 27.

As previously announced, British stage and screen favorite Hayley Tamaddon, known for her work as Del Dingle in Emmerdale and Andrea Beckett in Coronation Street and for winning the fifth season of ITV1’s Dancing on Ice, will portray Millie Dilmount, the Kansas girl determined to make it big in New York City.

Sutton Foster created the role in the original Broadway production, winning her first Tony Award for her performance. (Foster and many of her original costars recently took part in a sold-out reunion concert to benefit The Actors Fund.)

Tamaddon will be joined by Lucas Rush (American Idiot, Cabaret) as Mrs. Meers, Michael Colbourne as Jimmy Smith, Richard Meek as Trevor Graydon, Nicola Blackman as Muzzy van Hossmere, Lisa Bridge as Miss Dorothy, Guy Salim as Ching Ho, Patrick Jeremy as Bun Foo, and Natalie Spriggs as Miss Flannery, plus Laura Ellis, Annie Guy, Emma Lloyd, Millie O’Connell, Patrick George, Scott Norton, and Tom Summers.

Racky Plews will direct and choreograph with musical direction by Rob Wicks.
