Michael Cerveris will join forces with SlowNeck — which features playwright Adam Rapp — for a concert at the Zipper Theater July 24.

Part of the Sh-K-Boom Room's summer series, the 8 PM concert will include selections from Cerveris' upcoming solo album for Sh-K-Boom Records. The evening will also feature SlowNeck, which "takes rock to its roots with smart and sincere lyrics over pure and simple instrumentations." All tickets are priced at $20. Michael Cerveris starred as Giorgio in the Kennedy Center's mounting of Passion. He received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the title role of The Who's Tommy, a part he also played for two years in Germany. Cerveris originated the role of architect Thomas Andrews in the Tony-winning musical Titanic and also appeared onstage in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Total Eclipse, Abingdon Square and Life Is a Dream. His film and television credits include the recent Fox series "American Embassy" as well as "Fame," "Equalizer," "Strangers," "Tokyo Pop," "Steel and Lace" and "Rock and Roll High School Forever." Cerveris has also enjoyed success as a rock guitarist-vocalist in both the U.S. and U.K.

The Zipper Theater is located in Manhattan at 336 West 37th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Call (646) 205-2246 for reservations.
