Performances of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, about a billionaire who seeks to adopt an orphan in the Depression, will play Nov. 17-Jan. 2, 2011.
Olney's cast of 29 features Channez McQuay as Miss Hannigan, Bobby Smith as Rooster and Carrie A. Johnson as Grace Farrell. Each of the orphans' roles will be shared by two actors; the role of Sandy will be shared by two dogs. Opening night is Nov. 20.
Dvorsky has appeared on Broadway in Passion, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and in Off-Broadway's Pete 'n' Keely, among other works.
The Annie creative team includes musical director Christopher Youstra, choreographer Tara Jeanne Vallee, original costume designer Theoni Aldredge, original set designer Ming Cho Lee, lighting designer Charlie Morrison, sound designer G.W. Rodriguez, wig designer Anne Nesmith and stage manager Renee E. Yancey. It was recently announced that a separate commercial revival of Annie will open on Broadway in 2012. James Lapine will direct.
