Carol Channing impersonator Richard Skipper will appear at Odette's in New Hope, PA June 2-3. A Bistro Award and 2000 Manhattan Association of Cabaret Award Winner for "Outstanding Achievement in Impersonation," Skipper told Playbill On- Line he is currently performing in venues across the country with his impression of Carol Channing.
"I believe that the genuine respect and affection I have for my subject is the most important element in my performances," Skipper said in a prepared statement. After performing his act for Channing for the first time, Skipper said the star commented, "this is the first time ever I have been shown with such love, respect, and polish."
