Hailed for her dexterous comic performance as Roxie Hart in Chicago, both on tour and on Broadway, Charlotte d'Amboise returns to the role at the Shubert Theatre in New York March 23.
The Kander and Ebb musical revival is still a roaring success on Broadway after three years. Bebe Neuwirth is currently reprising her Tony Award winning performance as Velma to March 22, with Belle Calaway playing Roxie to that date.
It was not immediately clear who would be going on as Velma March 23, but the many hot companies of Chicago have created a pool of limber actors and actresses eligible for the Broadway troupe.
Chicago on Broadway also stars Brent Barrett as Billy Flynn, Ernie Sabella as Amos Hart, Marcia Lewis as Matron Mama Morton and R. Bean as Mary Sunshine.
