Luis Salgado, who recently directed the first Spanish production of In the Heights at Axelrod Performing Arts Center, returns to the venue this year with Ragtime. The production runs March 3–25 at the New Jersey venue.
Ragtime features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.
The production team working with director-choreographer Luis Salgado includes musical director David Maglione, associate director Valeria Cossu, creative production supervisor Heather Hogan, set design by Fred Sorrentino, lighting design by Erik Herskowitz, sound design by Kevin Johnson, projection design by Manuel de la Potilla, costume designs by Robert Croghan and prop designs by Susan Bloir. The orchestrations for the production are by Kim Scharnberg, courtesy of the Fords Theater.
