WNET, the New York city flagship of the PBS network, honored Tony Award-winning Broadway star Angela Lansbury and other “leaders in the arts, education, engagement and innovation” at a June 14 Gala Salute at The Plaza Ballroom.
Along with Mame and Sweeney Todd star Lansbury, the gala honored Francisco D’Souza, Ali and Joe Torre, and Dr. Leonard Tow for their commitment and contributions to WNET’s Media with Impact
The gala also featured a special performance by Broadway star Norm Lewis, with MetroFocus hosts Jenna Flanagan, Jack Ford and Rafael Pi Roman serving as the evening’s Masters of Ceremonies.
