CHICAGO--A play that breathes the season through every line, A Midsummer Night's Dream is best dreamt outdoors. First Folio Shakespeare Festival, which produced The Tempest, last summer, returns on July 1 to the Peabody Estate at Mayslake in Oakbrook to take up the Bard's most summery comedy. Once again the mistakes of a night test the love of assorted Athenians--fairies, mortals and demi-gods. Featuring Chicago favorites Paula Scrofano as Titania/Hippolyta and Robert Scogin as Bottom, Alison C. Vesely's staging sets the battle of the sexes in the turbulent 1920s, a fitting excuse for Michele Siler's Erte-inspired costumes and Michael Keefe's jazz-age score.
