The Boneau/Bryan-Brown press office confirmed that "Painter is no longer associated with the show." An expected official statement about the decision was not available by press time.

The new Broadway musical by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde) is currently in rehearsals with stars Terrence Mann, Christine Andreas and Douglas Sills.
