Performances play Feb. 11-March 8 on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, MI. The play, directed by the author, reunites Williams and Mekka, who played sweethearts Shirley Feeney and Carmine Ragusa in the TV series "Laverne and Shirley." Williams was in MBT's Nunsense last season, and was in the cast of Broadway's The Drowsy Chaperone.

The Kong's Night Out cast also includes Kady Zadora (Pia's daughter), Christo Savalas (Telly's son), Christopher Howe, Teri Clark Linden, Wayne David Parker, Rusty Mewha and Katie Nabors as Ann Darrow, the lady Kong fell in love with in the famous Depression-era movie, "King Kong."

Here's how Meadow Brook bills the show: "Have you ever wondered what was going on in the hotel room when King Kong's 'hand' reached in and grabbed Ann Darrow before hauling her to the top of the Empire State Building? [The comedy] takes the audience to the night King Kong escaped, but focuses on the farce in the hotel room before the giant ape arrives. There are secret notes, mistaken identities and slamming doors to spare in this perfect escape…"

Terry W. Carpenter, Meadow Brook Theatre's associate director, is the stage manager. The design team includes sets by Kristen Gribbin, costumes by Corey T. Globke, lighting by Reid G. Johnson and sound by Mike Duncan.

Tickets range from $24 to $39 and are available by calling the Meadow Brook Theatre box office at (248) 377-3300 or online through TicketMaster at www.ticketmaster.com. Group discounts are available by calling (248) 370-3316.
