The festival, which is dedicated to new work, runs April 25-June 25. Named for NYCB patron Irene Diamond, it has been held five times since 1992, introducing 47 works by 26 choreographers.
Also scheduled to contribute new works are Mauro Bigonzetti, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Jorma Elo, and Alexei Ratmansky. Elo, the resident chorographer of Boston Ballet, and Ratmansky, the artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet, will be creating their first ballets for NYCB.
Tickets for the festival, which is part of NYCB's spring season, will be available to subscribers starting January 16. Single tickets will be available starting March 13. For more information, visit www.nycballet.com.
