PlayBlog Colin Hanks Makes Good on a Stage Promise At sunset on May 8, on the roof of the London Hotel in West Hollywood, actor Colin Hanks tied the knot with publicist Samantha Bryant, making good on a promise he made during the 2008-09 run of his Broadway-debuting vehicle, 33 Variations.

He made the proposal last June, between the afternoon and evening performances at the Eugene O'Neill. His 33 Variations co-star, Susan Kellerman, told it this way when she presented him with a 2009 Theatre World Award for his performance: "Colin took her on stage alone, knelt by the standing lamp and proposed. He said, 'That way, when we come back to New York, the O'Neill will be our theatre, and we'll always be a part of Broadway.'"

Hanks, the son of Tom, accepted the award beet-red with embarrassment.
