The evening, which begins at 7 PM, includes short plays by Mark Schultz, Daniel Talbott, Lucy Thurber and Ken Urban that focus on the persistent threat of bullying among the youth of the LGBT community.
Spirit of Pride, curated by Talbott and Jack Doulin, is free and open to the public and also includes performances from Jason Butler Harner (The Coast of Utopia trilogy) and Joanna Howard.
Adults established in the arts, media, education, government and business will also be on hand to show their encouragement for standing strong for personal dignity and equality.
James Lecesne (Off-Broadway's Word of Mouth), co-founder of The Trevor Project, serves as this year’s keynote speaker and Michael Feingold will pay tribute to playwright and gay activist Doric Wilson, who died earlier this year. In addition, TOSOS, the theatre company co-founded by Wilson, will present a piece entitled Street Theater.
