News   Contestant Eliminated from "American Idol"; Top 11 Now Remain
Lacey Brown was eliminated from this season's "American Idol" — often a stepping stone to the Broadway stage — March 17 following a public vote. The announcement was made during the live broadcast of the country's biggest singing competition.

The four judges — Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi — opted not to use the once-a-season "save," which allows the voted-off contestant to continue to the next week.

Paige Miles and Tim Urban were the other contestants who received the least votes of the week.

The top 12 sang the tunes made famous by The Rolling Stones on the March 16 telecast of "Idol."

The 11 contestants who will now vie for the "America Idol" title are Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Lee Dewyze, Michael Lynche, Paige Miles, Siobhan Magnus and Tim Urban.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young (both back on Broadway in Hair), Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis (on Broadway in Rock of Ages), Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks (currently in the national tour of Grease).
