Original Phantom of the Opera co-stars Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman are being reunited -- sort of -- during the current pledge drive on PBS stations across the country.

Their hour-long programs, "Michael Crawford: Music of the Night" and "Sarah Brightman in Concert at the Royal Abert Hall" are being aired repeatedly during the pledge drives -- often back to to back -- and both shows are proving to be moneymakers for public television stations nationwide.

Crawford sings selections from Phantom (including duets with Dale Kristien) and Hello Dolly as well as numbers from his new CD of religious songs, "On Eagle's Wings" (Atlantic).

Brightman tries her hand at opera, delivers the title song from Whistle Down the Wind (accompanied by Andrew Lloyd Webber at the piano), performs a duet with tenor Andrea Bocelli from her new CD and closes with "Music of the Night" from Phantom -- Crawford's big Phantom number that Lloyd Webber originally wrote for Brightman.

The PBS pledge drives continue through Mar. 22. For air dates, check local listings. -- By Rebecca Paller
