Drama critics Howard Kissel, John Simon and Linda Winer are the guests for the May 17 broadcast of "Theatre Talk," the PBS talk show that features interviews with top theatre celebrities and critics. Kissel, Simon and Winer will assess the spring season on Broadway, giving their opinions about such recently opened works as Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sweet Smell of Success, Topdog/Underdog, Fortune's Fool, Metamorphoses, Private Lives and Edward Albee's The Goat. Howard Kissel reviews for The Daily News, John Simon for New York Magazine and Linda Winer for Newsday.
The broadcast concludes with a performance from the Broadway-bound musical Hairspray filmed at a recent press event and featuring Harvey Fierstein and the musical's company.
Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen. The program also runs Sunday afternoons at 4 PM on WGBH in Boston.
