News   Cryer and Ford Get Their Act Together Again Off-Broadway April 10
Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford, who created and performed I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road in 1978 at the Public Theater, return to the New York stage April 10.

The composing-performing duo star in Getting Their Act Together Again at 59E59 Theaters. The limited engagement will play through April 20 with an official opening April 12. Getting Their Acting Together Again, according to press notes, is "a heady and hilarious trip through Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford's professional and personal lives. With a relationship that spans four decades, musical theatre team Cryer and Ford have been together longer than most marriages. From their undergrad years at DuPauw University, through children and marriages, and professional successes on and Off-Broadway, Cryer and Ford mine the hits (and a few of the side-splitting misses!) that have made them musical theatre's most successful and enduring female writing team."

After a stint at the Public Theater, Cryer and Ford's I'm Getting My Act Together . . . transferred to Circle in the Square/Downtown, where it played a three-year run. Their other works include Now Is the Time, The Last Sweet Days of Isaac, Shelter, Hang On to the Good Times and Eleanor. Cryer and Ford's new musical Anne of Green Gables recently began performances at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
