News Curtin, Gleason, Sarandon to Read Short Fiction at Westport Jane Curtin, Joanna Gleason and Chris Sarandon will read selections of short fiction in Selected Shorts, a live version of the public radio show of the same name, on March 13 at 7:30 PM at Westport Country Playhouse.

According to press notes, "The evening's theme is enthralling stories about the unexpected consequences of secrets between lovers." The program will be taped for future broadcast.

The event is part of Arts in the House, a program co-presented by Playhouse and the Westport Arts Center.

Westport previously hosted a "Selected Shorts" taping with Mia Dillon, Daniel Gerroll and David Rakoff on Nov. 14.

Jane Curtin became a household name in the 1970s when she was a cast member on "Saturday Night Live." She also starred in TV's "Kate and Allie" and "Third Rock From the Sun." Her Broadway credits include Candida, Noises Off and Our Town.

Sarandon and Gleason, who are married, co-starred on Broadway in Nick and Nora and Thorn & Bloom. Gleason won the Tony for Best Actress for playing the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods and received Tony nominations for Joe Egg and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Her other Broadway credits include The Real Thing, I Love My Wife and Social Security. Her film credits include "Mr. Holland's Opus," "Boogie Nights," "The Wedding Planner," "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and she has had many guest appearances on such television shows as "Friends," "The West Wing" and "Diff'rent Strokes."

Sarandon's Broadway credits include The Rothschilds, Two Gentlemen from Verona and a replacement role in The Light in the Piazza. His film credits include "Dog Day Afternoon" (Oscar nomination), "The Day Christ Died," "Protocol" and "The Princess Bride."
