The season will open with the Richard O'Brien cult classic The Rocky Horror Show, running Sept. 11-Oct. 19. It will be directed and choreographed by Joel Ferrell. Oscar nominee Squibb ("Nebraska"), who last appeared at DTC in Dividing the Estate, will star in the title role of Uhry's poignant drama Driving Miss Daisy. Ferrell will direct the production that runs Oct. 16-Nov. 16. Karen Zacarías' comedy The Book Club Play, about life and literature, will be staged by Meredith McDonough Jan. 1-Feb. 1, 2015.

The new musical Stagger Lee, inspired by the American folk song, will premiere Jan. 21-Feb. 15. It features music by Power and Ellington and will be staged by Patricia McGregor. Music supervision will be by Daryl Waters.

According to DTC, "A highlight this season is the world premiere of Stagger Lee, a musical that takes its title from the century-old folk song that became a number one R&B hit for Lloyd Price in 1959. The story spans the 20th century, tracing mythical characters in their quest to achieve the American Dream. The deep-seated themes of racism and the raw power of human will are sure to give you chills. And the music—from Joplin-inspired tunes to R&B and hip-hop—will definitely get your feet moving."

Kevin Moriarity will stage Moliére's farce The School for Lies, running Feb. 20-March 29; followed by the Euripides' tragedy Medea, also staged by Moriarity, running Feb. 19-March 29.

DTC will also host the rolling world premiere of Andrew Hinderbaker's Colossal, running April 2-May 3 under Moriarity's direction. The play is the winner of the Kennedy Center’s Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award. The production will also play the Olney Theatre Center (Maryland), Mixed Blood Theatre (Minneapolis) and Southern Rep (Louisiana) as part of the National New Play Network's Continued Life Program. According to DTC, "Colossal is an epic theatrical event. With the flexible Wyly Theatre transformed into a football field, director Kevin Moriarty and acclaimed choreographer Bruce Wood will create an intensely physical production of this spectacular and deeply moving new play. Featuring full contact choreography and a drumline, the play centers on a University of Texas football player, struggling to move forward in the wake of a catastrophic spinal injury. A play about love, ability, and extraordinary feats of strength, Colossal is both a celebration and critical examination of our nation’s most popular form of theatre."

The season will conclude with Jon Jory's stage adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, directed by Sarah Rasmussen, April 23-May 24.

DTC will also offer its annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Story, running Nov. 25-Dec. 27.
