Amy Glazer will direct the production that is slated to start Jan. 31 and open Feb. 2 at the California stage for a run through March 8. Aaron Davidman, Heather Gordon and Howard Swain will also appear in the cast of The Scene. The play debuted at the Humana Festival and ran Off-Broadway last season.

The Scene, is billed as "a thoroughly modern, sharply written black comedy." According to Playhouse materials, the comedy "is full of people in 'the scene,' on 'the scene' and desperate for 'the scene.' If you have ever done something despite your better judgment, maybe chose to follow the crowd instead of following your gut to avoid hard, emotionally painful work, then you will understand Charlie, the provocative and complex protagonist."

Zuniga is best known for her television work on "Melrose Place." She has also appeared in the films "Spaceballs," "Vision Quest," "The Fly II" and made appearances on TV's "American Dreams," "Beautiful People" and "Nip/Tuck."

Rebeck was recently represented on Broadway with Mauritius. Other plays include The Water's Edge, Bad Dates, The Butterfly Collection and Spike Heels. She also co-wrote, with Alexandra Gersten Vassilaros, the 2004 Pulitzer Prize finalist Omnium Gatherum.
