The song sold 214,000 digital copies in the week following its debut on the hit Fox musical series. The previous height "Glee" reached on the digital charts was a No. 2 for the single "Don't Stop Believin," which sold 17,000 in June 2009.
Aside from "Glee," Criss may be best known for a college musical parody that went viral, "The Harry Potter Musical." A Boyle guest appearance on a holiday episode of "Glee" this season has previously been mentioned as a possibility.
"Glee" airs Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on Fox.
