First Date and Secondhand Lions songwriters Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner wrote the score for the musical that is being directed by Adam Shankman. The private industry reading will take place March 6 in Manhattan.

The stage musical has a book by Marco Pennette.

In addition to Criss, the cast features Steve Rosen, Craig Bierko, Caissie Levy, Andy Mientus, Leslie Kritzer, Jennifer Damiano, Carly Hughes, George Wendt, Derek Klena, Taylor Louderman, Jackie Hoffman, Nikki Bohne, Catherine Ricafort, Sydney Shepherd, Ryan Vasquez, Raymond Lee and Max Crumm.

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures is producing the show.

The musical focuses on a man, unhappy with how his life has turned out by the time he's 37, who wakes up as his 17-year-old self and is given a second-chance to rewrite his story. Matthew Perry and Efron co-starred.

Playbill.com recently caught up with Criss, who looked back on "Glee" and told us about the time he was fired from an acting gig.
