The actors are former students of STC artistic director Michael Kahn. STC's associate artistic director David Muse will stage the production in the intimate thrust configuration at Sidney Harman Hall at 610 F Street NW in Washington, DC.
Rehearsals begin Aug. 5 toward a Sept. 9-Oct. 12 run.
The new production evokes the theatre traditions of Shakespeare's day by featuring Elizabethan period costumes and an all-male cast.
The company is also expected to include Lawrence Redmond as Montague, Dan Kremer as Capulet, Drew Eshelman as Nurse, Aubrey Deeker as Mercutio/Friar John, Cody Nickell as Tybalt, Hubert Point-DuJour as Benvolio, Jeffrey Kuhn as Lady Montague/Peter, Ted van Griethuysen as Friar Lawrence, Tom Beckett as Lady Capulet/Apothecary and Craig Wallace as Prince, among others.
