De'Adre Aziza (Passing Strange, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Natalie Venetia Belcon (Avenue Q, Rent) and Adrienne Muller (national tours of The Lion King and Mamma Mia!) portray mothers in the annual show "who find the true meaning of Christmas," according to Tony nominee Aziza. The three actresses rotate in the role since over 30 shows are offered each week.
The 2011 Radio City Christmas Spectacular will feature six new scenes, new Rockette performances and costumes and additional songs. The production will also include new state-of-the-art digital projection, coupled with the world’s largest flying indoor LED screen, to transform Radio City Music Hall. The technology is set to envelop the audience in a starry-night sky for the musical number “Living Nativity.”
Performances continue through Jan. 2, 2012.
