News Decca Celebrates Broadway Love Song with New CD; Hits Stores Jan. 28 Decca Broadway, which holds the largest cast album library in North America, celebrates the Broadway love song with a new release simply titled "Love Song."

The 14-track recording, set to hit stores Jan. 28, features tunes recorded by such theatre favorites as Betty Buckley, Ron Orbach, Julie Andrews, Lea Salonga and Bernadette Peters. The CD also boasts liners notes by Denny Martin Flinn, the author of "Musical! A Grand Tour — The Rise, Glory and Fall of an American Institution." Writes Flinn: "Love. Oh, how many poets have written of it. How many lovers have died for it (Both Romeo and Juliet!) And how many singers have sung about it. From the beginning of time, there was the Love Song. And nobody writes love songs better than musical theatre lyricists. In this collection, you will enjoy a potpourri of them, each unique, each limning a different kind of love."
