The limited engagement, which will benefit a new literary magazine called Amuse created by and for The Culinary Institute of America students, plays at the Walkerspace in downtown Manhattan. Pinter — currently represented on Broadway with The Caretaker — penned the play Ashes to Ashes which explores the nature of reality and human relationships through the relationship between a husband and wife. Robert Mann directs Gloria Mann-Craft and Warren Kelder in the work.

Audiences are invited to take part in a pre-show bar and silent auction, starting at 6:45 PM followed by food served at 7 PM — by a different chef each evening. The play begins at 8 PM. After the show, guests receive a complimentary copy of Amuse and truffles handmade by the student chefs from The Culinary Institute of America.

The design team includes Ryan James (set), Michael Boris (costume), Mark Simmons (lighting) and John Bashew (sound).

Among the featured chefs are: Mario Arnero of Eatery Restaurant; Ellen Baumwoll of Bijoux Doux Specialty Cakes/Pastries; Jacqueline Frazer of Command Performance Catering Inc; Cornelius Gallagher of Oceana; Gerry Hayden of Amuse; Allan Katz of Allyn's; Rick Laakonen of Ilo; Waldy Malouf of Beacon; Rick Moonen of RM; Neal Murphy of Park Avenue Cafe; Logan Niles of Blue Nile Catering; Charlie Palmer of Aureole, Astra, and Metrazur; Michael Pardus, Professor at the Culinary Institute of America; Ben Pollinger of Union Square Cafe; Linda Rodriguez of Bond Street; Claire Stewart of Yale Club of New York; and Paul Zweben of Rain, Calle Ocho, Django and Union Pacific.
