The Disney musicals Aladdin and The Lion King will offer special performances to benefit The Actors Fund of America this summer.

Aladdin, which is directed and choreographed by Tony winner Casey Nicholaw, will offer its benefit performance July 10 at 6:30 PM at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The Lion King, helmed by Tony winner Julie Taymor, will perform for the Fund August 12 at 2 PM at the Minskoff Theatre.

Actors Fund Special Performances, according to press notes, "have been thrilling audiences for more than 80 years with an electric energy unlike any other night of theatre! What makes a Special Performance so 'special'? Each year, Broadway companies, in New York and on the road, generously give their time and talent by adding a performance to already rigorous schedules to benefit The Actors Fund."
