News Drama League to Honor Nathan Lane, Kenny Leon and Macy's Parade Tony Award-winning Addams Family star Nathan Lane, Fences director Kenny Leon and the Macy's Parade & Entertainment Group will be honored a the 2010 Drama League Awards May 21 in Manhattan.

Jerry Zaks, who directed Lane in the Tony-winning revival of Guys and Dolls and serves as a creative consultant on Addams Family, will present the actor with the Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theatre Award.

Denzel Washington, who will star under Leon's direction in the Broadway revival of August Wilson's Fences this spring, will present the director with the Julia Hansen Award for Excellence in Directing.

Macy's Parade & Entertainment group, which showcases Broadway musicals each Thanksgiving, will receive the Unique Contribution to the Theatre Award. Betty Buckley will present the honor.

"Ugly Betty" stars Vanessa Williams and Michael Urie will co-host the 76th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

The Drama League Awards, according to press notes, pay "tribute to the season's best performers by including the nominees of The Distinguished Performance Award on a dais." The upcoming ceremony will feature approximately 60-70 stars from the 2009-10 Broadway and Off-Broadway season. The Drama League also presents four other annual awards: Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play and Distinguished Revival of a Musical.
