Attendees of the conference include Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Gretchen Cryer, Carol Hall, Winnie Holzman, David Ives, Lisa Kron, Robert Lopez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Theresa Rebeck, Stephen Schwartz, Jeff Sweet, John Weidman, George C. Wolfe and Charlayne Woodard.

The keynote speaker is Steppenwolf artistic director Martha Lavey. Other events include seminars on "Writing Wicked" (with Holzman and Schwartz), "Writing the Solo Drama" (with Woodard, Kron and Cryer) and "Writing for Your Audiences" (with Lopez and Anderson-Lopez).

Ben Thiem hosts The Chicago League of Theatres Meet and Greet Aug. 22, and Rebeck will appear "in conversation" Aug. 23. 

The Dramatists Guild of America has over 6,000 members nationwide and is the only professional association which advances the interests of playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists writing for the living stage. The Guild's members include both beginning writers and prominent authors represented on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in regional theatres.
