News "Dream Come True": Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda Sing a Duet From Les Miz With His Neighbor, Kyle Jean-Baptiste On Aug. 15, Les Miz cast member Kyle Jean-Baptiste joined Lin-Manuel Miranda at the Ham4Ham lottery to perform "Confrontation" between Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert. Kyle Jean-Baptiste made history July 23 as the youngest and first African American actor to perform as Jean Valjean on Broadway. Jean-Baptiste is a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. He is currently playing the Constable and Courfeyrac, and understudying Valjean.

After the performance, both Miranda and Jean-Baptiste tweeted about the experience:

 

 

Hamilton is currently playing at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Ham4Ham shows are performed before the second show of two-show days and on special occasions. Les Miz is currently playing at the Imperial Theatre.
