News Dress Circle Presents an Afternoon with Lauren Kennedy May 3 Lauren Kennedy, who was most recently on Broadway as Fantine in Les Misérables, will make an appearance at London’s Dress Circle Covent Garden Shop May 3.

Kennedy will autograph copies of her debut solo recording, “Songs of Jason Robert Brown,” and will also offer a few tracks from the CD at the 2 PM in-store event. The singer-actress is currently in London to perform at The Night of 1000 Voices, which honors Sir Trevor Nunn May 4 at the Royal Albert Hall. Nunn directed Kennedy as Nellie Forbush in the recent National Theatre South Pacific revival. Lauren Kennedy covered the role of Daisy Hilton in the Broadway production of Side Show and also appeared in the New York companies of Sunset Boulevard and Les Misérables. She starred in The Rhythm Club and was also a part of the early incarnations of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years, playing the role that would be played Off-Broadway by Sherie Rene Scott, when Kennedy crossed the Atlantic to star in the National Theatre's revival of South Pacific. Her new CD boasts the premiere recordings of three new Jason Robert Brown tunes, "And I Will Follow," "Letting Go" and "If I Told You Now."
