SEATTLE-The Driftwood Players, a fixture in the town of Edmonds, WA just north of Seattle, have selected a veddy English season of plays, including two Dickens adaptations, and only one show without a UK connection.
First up, Hay Fever Noel Coward's timeless comedy of bad manners, runs Sept. 11-Oct. 11
The holiday season effort is A Christmas Carol: Scrooge & Marley adapted by Israel Horovitz, playing Nov. 13-Dec. 13.
Craig Lucas' thoughtful, supernatural comedy Prelude To A Kiss is the first 1999 show, Jan. 29-Feb. 21, 1999.
Educating Rita, the hit stage and film comedy by Willy Russell plays Mar. 26-Apr. 25, 1999. Rupert Holmes' fiendishly clever, audience participatory musical of Dickens' The Mystery of Edwin Drood closes out the season, May 28-June 27, 1999.
The Driftwood Players are located at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main Street, Edmonds. For season ticket information call (425) 774-9600.
