News Drumstruck to Close Nov. 12 The interactive drumming performance Drumstruck will close Nov. 12 after an 18-month Off-Broadway run. It will have played 40 previews and 607 regular performances at New World Stages.

Drumstruck is a unique theatrical experience in which each audience member receives a two-foot-tall drum and is expected to play along with the 11 African percussionists. The show is the brainchild of Warren Lieberman, who started a similar show at his Lieberman Drum Café in Johannesburg in 1997. Drumstruck is directed Off-Broadway by David Warrren.

Drumstruck began previews May 12, 2005, and opened June 16, 2005. It is produced by Drum Café, Dodger Theatricals and Visual Spirit in association with Amy J. Moore.
