News Dustin Diamond Will 'Screech' Into Bayside! The Musical! Aug. 27 National Lampoon will present more performances of Bayside! The Musical! – the "Saved by The Bell" parody – featuring original TV favorite 'Screech,' Dustin Diamond Aug. 27.

Running since September of 2013, Bayside! The Musical! is currently playing at Theatre 80 (80 St. Mark’s Place) with three shows a week; however, National Lampoon has announced that, "it will increase the weekly schedule from three to five shows, all of which will feature Dustin Diamond – the original 'Screech' from the TV series – as Dustin Diamond, the role he was born to play."

The current cast features Sam Harvey as Zack Morris, Katie Mebane, John Duff, April Kidwell, Justin Cimino, Shamira Clark, Amanda Nicholas and former New York City mayoral candidate Seth Blum as Mr. Belding.

Bayside! The Musical! features book, music and lyrics by Bob and Tobly McSmith and is also co-directed by the pair. Jason Wise choreographs. Susan O'Dea serves as music director.

The musical is billed as follows, "Bayside! tackles all the tough questions: Will Zack and Kelly break up? Will Slater quit wrestling forever? Screech die? This show has it all: brick-sized cell phones, homoerotic wrestling, abject feminism, sexy ducks covered in oil, Trapper Keepers, and the perils of caffeine addiction."
