News Dylan Baker to Head Cast of Atlantic Theater's Sea of Tranquility Casting has been announced for the Atlantic Theater Company's production of Sea of Tranquility, which begins performances Feb. 4.

Heading the cast of the Howard Korder play will be Dylan Baker, who received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for his performance in La Bete. Baker also appeared on Broadway in Eastern Standard, and his Off-Broadway credits include Homebody/Kabul, What the Butler Saw, That Championship Season, Pride's Crossing, The Common Pursuit, Not About Heroes and Much Ado About Nothing.

Baker, who was recently seen on screen in "The Road to Perdition," will be joined on stage by Jordan Lage, Todd Weeks, Betsy Aidem, Heidi Armruster, Liz Elkins, Jason Fuchs, Patricia Kalember, Lizbeth Mackay, Matthew Saldivar and Rafael Sardina. The production officially opens Feb. 25 and is scheduled to run through March 21.

Sea of Tranquility, according to a production statement, concerns "Ben and Nessa Green, [who] sell their house in Connecticut to resettle in the booming New West. But along with clear skies and open spaces come cultural warfare, runaway kids, guests who won't leave, and a past that never really disappears, whether it's in the ground beneath their feet or inside their own hearts."

Featuring direction by Neil Pepe, the creative team also boasts Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Kaye Voyce (costume design) and David Weiner (lighting design) with original music by David Yazbek.

Playwright Howard Korder has written Boy's Life and The Lights; the former was a big success in 1988 for the Atlantic, which presented the latter at Lincoln Center in 1993. Korder also penned Search and Destroy, which was later made into a feature film directed by Martin Scorcese. Sea of Tranquility will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM with matinees on Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets, priced at $45, are available by visiting Click here.

The Atlantic Theater Company is located in Manhattan at 336 West 20th Street; for more information, go to www.atlantictheater.org.
