Leigh Silverman (Chinglish, From Up Here) will direct the play, to begin performances Feb. 5, 2013, at New York City Center Stage I. Casting for two additional roles in the production will be announced in the coming weeks. Opening night will be Feb. 26. This is a limited engagement to April 14.

According to MTC, "Falco stars as Martha, a kindergarten teacher with a life many would want: a loving husband (Conlee), a devoted daughter (Strole). But when she leaves it all behind, it's up to her daughter Sarah to pick up the pieces. Two-time Obie winner, Leigh Silverman directs this hilarious and heartbreaking story about motherhood, freedom, and trying to see the people in your family as they really are."

New York City Center Stage I (one of two Off-Broadway venues for MTC) is at 131 W. 55th Street.

Falco is a four-time Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee ("Nurse Jackie," The House of Blue Leaves, Side Man, "The Sopranos"). Flahive writes for "Nurse Jackie" and penned Off-Broadway's From Up Here.

The Madrid was commissioned through the Bank of America New American Play Program.

The creative team includes David Zinn (scenic design), Emily Rebholtz (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Jill BC Du Boff (sound design) and Tom Kitt (original music).
