The non-AEA tour is a separate production from the Broadway engagement, which returns to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre Nov. 9 after a 2010 Broadway premiere. A Seattle production of Elf is also set to play the 5th Avenue Theatre in late November.

Based on the 2003 film of the same title, Elf has a score by Wedding Singer songwriters Matthew Sklar (music) and Chad Beguelin (lyrics) and a book by Tony Award winners Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Thomas Meehan (Annie, Hairspray, The Producers).

Kopec will be joined by Hosack as Emily, Gray as Santa, Hennies as Jovie and Pulver as Walter. The cast also includes Connor Barth, Jen Bechter, Royce McIntosh, Clyde Voce, Elizabeth Burton, Robyn DeGuzman, Mara Gabrielle, Ian Frazier, Paul Ianniello, Chandon Jones, Drew King, EMily Catherine Larger, Nick Lorenzini, Lauran Palmeri, Shaun Repetto, Angelica Richie, Jack Robbins, Ben Russell-Lynch and Dennis Setteducati.

Elf will be directed by Sam Scalamoni and choreographed by Connor Gallagher. The production will reflect a new staging of the musical. Alan J. Plado will serve as musical director. The physical production of Elf will be based on the original Broadway designs.

Tour dates include Nov. 4-10 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI; followed by Nov. 13-18 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, WI; Nov. 20-25 at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL; Nov. 27-Dec. 2 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers, FL; and Dec. 5-30 at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul, MN. A Ghostlight Records cast album preserves the original Broadway cast.

The musical comedy broke records at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre box office three times over the course of its 58-performance run. Elf grossed $1,572,835.50 million during Christmas week 2010.

The musical and its source center on a human orphan, who steals away in Santa's sack one Christmas Eve and is raised as an elf in the North Pole. He soon learns the truth of his heritage when he outgrows his fellow toy makers. Will Ferrell originated the role on screen.
