Featuring a book by Laura Eason (Sex with Strangers, Ethan Frome) and music and lyrics by Alan Schmuckler (We Three Lizas, How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?), the production will officially open May 22. Days Like Today will continue through July 13.
The cast includes Emily Berman as Tessa, Susie McMonagle as Maria, Will Mobley as James, Jeff Parker as Francois, Stephen Schellhardt as Edmund, Jonathan Weir as Frank and Jarrod Zimmerman as Arnaud.
"Lovely, hopeful Tessa has vowed that she is through with love — despite the best efforts and conflicting advice of her parents (and their respective lovers)," press notes state. "After all, it's never easy to move on before you've had time to heal. But when a handsome young stranger arrives, Tessa must decide whether the idea of love might still be one worth fighting for."
Days Like Today will feature scenic design by Scott Bradley, costume design by Jenny Mannis, lighting design by Jesse Klug, sound design by Palmer Jenkins and props design by Julie Eberhardt. David Castellanos is the stage manager.
