News Estelle Parsons and Mary Louise Burke Read Koteles' Comedy, The Cook's Tour, Sept. 12 in NYC The Cook's Tour, a new comedy "about cooking at room temperature" by David Koteles, gets a private reading in Manhattan, directed by David Elliott Sept. 12.

The 4 PM reading at Perry Street Theatre includes Michael Aronov, Mary Louise Burke, Jack Davidson and Estelle Parsons. In a "beautiful, quiet suburban home," Margaret and Walter McClack "welcome their son Christopher home after having not seen him for a few years," according to a statement. "He's brought his partner, Javier, with him. They have a drink and pretend everything is normal. Then they have another. And maybe just one more small one. When Christopher leaves Javier alone with Margaret and Walter as they prepare dinner, his hilarious, but surreal, experience will make you feel much better about your own in-laws."

David Koteles is a Columbia University playwright graduate, who was recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for The Bald Diva, a parody of Ionesco's Bald Soprano. He is currently working on a screenplay of Jane Austen's "Mansfield Park."

Seating is limited for this industry-only reading. To RSVP call (212) 367-7106.
