The newly-shorn Rob Evan (his Jekyll ponytail recently raised $600 for Broadway Cares on e-bay) and Bill Evans (The Scarlet Pimpernel) will lead a concert of Andrew Lloyd Webber tunes March 9 at the Nyack Seaport Cultural Arts Center.

Evan left the cast of Jekyll & Hyde, where he played the title roles, Jan. 23. Evans made his Broadway debut as Hastings in The Scarlet Pimpernel, after appearing in the national tour of Jekyll & Hyde. The Phantom of the Opera's Brad Little and Rita Harvey will also perform. Other casting is to be announced.

Lloyd Webber, now knee-deep in a soccer musical with comedian playwright Ben Elton, began his composing career with the then-children's musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Another Biblical musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, followed that first success, then Evita (recently made into the movie starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas). The dance piece Cats produced his best known song, "Memory," but his best known work may be the romantic thriller The Phantom of the Opera. Other shows include By Jeeves, Aspects of Love, Song and Dance and Starlight Express.

Upcoming programs at the Nyack Seaport Cultural Center include an evening of Rodgers & Hart and Rodgers and Hammerstein May 11 and a Frank Wildhorn concert Aug. 10.

Tickets are $40-$30. For reservations, call (914) 353-7733. -- By Christine Ehren
