She's been one-half of a Siamese twin and an innocent girl caught in a very strange, cross-dressing castle, but one thing Alice Ripley really wants is a singer-songwriter career. June 11 at Joe's Pub, she'll celebrate the release of her first solo album of rock and pop songs, "Everything's Fine," available on the Sh-k-Boom Label June 12. The self-penned mostly mellow tracks (with two collaborations from Grammy-nominated producer-songwriter Bruce Brody) include:
"Shotgun"
"Shine On"
"She Keeps Her Love Away"
"Photograph"
"Calling All Angels"
"Drive"
"Suburbia"
"New Kid"
"Everything's Fine"
"Silence You"
"So Much of Me"
"Pieces"
"Violet Tree"
Grammy winner Joel Moss produced the album. Ripley's band features husband Shannon Ford on drums, Glenn Alexander on guitar and Brian Hamm on bass.
Tickets to the Joe's Pub event are $25 and available by calling (212) 539 8778. To order the CD, visit www.sh-k-boomrecords.com.
