Farah Alvin plays Agatha Christie, Kate Shindle plays Amelia Earhart, and Katie Thompson portrays Aimee Semple McPherson in the concert.
Vanishing Point was written by Rob Hartmann, Liv Cummins and Scott Keys.
Vanishing Point "intertwines the stories of Amelia Earhart, who disappeared during her round-the-world flight in 1937; Agatha Christie, who disappeared for 11 days in 1926 after discovering her husband's adultery; and evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, who disappeared while swimming in the Pacific, only to reappear three weeks later in the Arizona desert claiming she'd been kidnapped," according to press notes. "The musical imagines that these three women came together in a mysterious 'vanishing point' where they replay their lives to determine if they want to return to the world."
Along with portraying the trio of women, the cast also plays the roles of everyone else in their lives.
Alvin's stage credits include The Look of Love, Nine and The Marvelous Wonderettes. Shindle has performed in Wonderland, Legally Blonde and Cabaret and is a former Miss America. Thompson was recently seen in Pump Boys and Dinettes at Encores! at City Center and Giant at the Public Theater.
Vanishing Point premiered at Porchlight Music Theatre in Chicago and was further developed at the Illusion Theater in Minneapolis. After eight full productions in small theatres across the country, Vanishing Point made its international premiere in Spain this past summer, in Madrid's Teatro Lara.
Musical director Gillian Berkowitz is featured at the piano, joined by cello and clarinet.
