On Aug. 4 Tony's Di Napoli Restaurant honored Alfred Molina by unveiling a new portrait of the actor that was placed on the restaurant's Broadway Wall of Fame. On Aug. 6 Molina's caricature will be hung on Sardi's historic wall of celebrities. The Sardi's celebration will feature appearances by Molina as well as co-stars Randy Graff and Nancy Opel and the rest of the Fiddler on the Roof company. The unveiling is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
Alfred Molina received a 2004 Tony Award nomination for his performance as Tevye in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. He made his Broadway debut in Art and received a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award for his work in that Tony-winning play. For his performance in the Roundabout's production of Molly Sweeney, he received a Theatre World Award and a Drama Desk nomination. Molina was nominated for Olivier Awards for his work in Oklahoma! and Speed the Plow. His screen credits include "Spider Man 2," "Frida," "Chocolat," "Raider of the Lost Ark," "Prick Up Your Ears," "Boogie Nights," "Anna Karenina" and "Enchanted April."
