LOS ANGELES -- The Towne Street Theatre has announced the extension of the company's revival of Charlie L. Russell's Five On the Blackhand Side. The family comedy, first produced in 1960, was originally slated to close Nov. 29, but positive audience response has prompted TST to extend the run through Dec. 13. Five is directed by Nancy Cheryll Davis and Nancy Renee, who believe the play "is perfect fare for holiday theatregoing with Russell's entertaining look back at the times of bell-bottoms and Afros, when Black Power and Women's Lib were on the move."

The TST is located in downtown Los Angeles in the fashion district at 799 S. Towne Ave, loft 301 (in the Bel Ami studios). Security parking is provided. Call (213) 624-4796 for information.
