Fox network and the producers of "Glee" have announced that the fifth season series premiere of the hit musical series will be delayed following the sudden death of its young and beloved star Cory Monteith, who was found dead July 13 in Canada.
A statement, according to ABC news, said that "in light of the tragic passing," production on the series would be delayed until August.
The fifth season premiere, which had been scheduled for Sept. 19, will now begin one week later on Sept. 26. No further information was announced.
The 31-year-old Monteith played the role of Finn Hudson.
