DioGuardi will play an eight-week limited engagement through Oct. 30. Here, the former "Idol" judge talks with "Access Hollywood" about making her Broadway debut. DioGuardi says that working with the creative team behind Chicago has softened her as a mentor because they have been so "nurturing" throughout the rehearsal process.
At a recent Chicago photo shoot, DioGuardi gets into her Roxie Hart costume and chats about her character, as well as the Roxie Hart qualities she sees in herself. DioGuardi also thinks that her Broadway debut in Chicago was "meant to be" since Ashlee Simpson, the pop singer who collaborated with DioGuardi on her album, also played the famed diva who lands herself on Murderess Row.
