Classic Arts News Franco Farina Replaces Marco Berti in Two More Met Aidas American tenor Franco Farina has been engaged to fill in for the indisposed Marco Berti as Radames for two further performances of Verdi's Aida at the Metropolitan Opera — tomorrow and next Tuesday (Oct. 30), both at 8 p.m.
Berti first fell ill last week and withdrew from two performances. On the first of those dates he was replaced, in a closely watched performance, by Roberto Alagna. Farina filled in for the second date.

Two days ago, Berti withdrew from the remainder of Aida's run this season.
