News Frenchie Davis, Ty Taylor, Von Smith Will Salute The Mighty Mississippi in Upright Concert "American Idol" finalist Frenchie Davis will be joined by fellow stage star Ty Taylor and fellow "Idol" performer Von Smith in Mighty Mississippi, a concert presented by the Upright Cabaret Jan. 15, 2011, at 7:30 PM.

The concert, which is part of the cabaret's new American Icon Series, will take place at the Thousand Oaks Civic Art Center's Scherr Forum Theatre in Thousand Oaks, CA. The event will pay tribute to the music of Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley and Prince. Audiences may expect to hear "Hello, Dolly," "What a Wonderful World," "Don't Be Cruel," "Love Me Tender," "How Come You Don't Call Me," "Purple Rain" and other favorites.

Davis, a finalist on the second season of "Idol," appeared on Broadway in Rent and in tours of Dreamgirls and Ain't Misbehavin'. Taylor, who was seen on CBS' "Rockstar INXS," has stage credits including Songs for a New World, Joseph…, Cats and Grease. Smith appeared on the eighth season of "Idol."
